Oct 15 - St. Christopher's School Awarded Quality Mark
Service Children’s Education (SCE) School St Christopher’s Early Years Foundation Setting has been awarded the prestigious Early Years Quality Mark for their Early Years Foundation Stage.
St Christopher’s is the first Early Years SCE School to be awarded the Quality Mark through the Alliance of Lifelong Learning based in the UK. Kay Turner an Early Years Advisor from SCE Schools said, ‘this is a real milestone; it is the first Early Years Award for any of our SCE Schools and is a testament of all the hard work done by Amy and her team and the fantastic leadership skills of Amy.’
Commander British Forces Commodore John Clink OBE presented the Quality Mark Certificate to Head Teacher Amy Wright, who noted, ‘I am so proud to accept this Quality Mark on behalf of everyone at the school, it is a validation of the hard work and dedication of the staff, pupils and parents to improve and offer our children the best possible start for their education.’
The Alliance of Lifelong Learning is committed to working with local authorities, schools, local communities and organisations in using the Basic Skill Quality Mark process to develop, support and celebrate good practice in literacy, language and numeracy for children and young people.
