Sep 30 - New Extension for St. Martin’s School
Education Minister Gilbert Licudi this afternoon handed ove rthe keys to the new St. Martin’s School extension. carried out by GJBS. The project includes a new classroom, storeroom, safe space room, toilet and shower facilities and therapy room. Funding for the addition was provided by the Kusuma Trust, who were thanked by the Minister for continuing to work in conjunction with the Government for the benefit of the community.
The back of the main wing extension includes a patio within which students can plant seeds, grow flowers, herbs and the odd vegetable or fruit.
Lastly, a completely new mini-zoo with its own pond and walk-in aviary has been provided to replace the old animal & bird keep.
Speaking at the handover, Minister Licudi explained that the building provided a much needed addition to the school. ‘Another project done by this Government as an extension to educational facilities,’ The Minister added.
He went on to thank the professionals involved in the project.
