Sep 27 - Cooking Oil Waste Disposal at Europa Recycling Centre
As part of the Government of Gibraltar’s commitment to sustainable waste management, the collection of waste cooking oil, ink toners and cartridges is now available at the Recycling Centre on Europa Advance Road.
The public is encouraged to dispose of their waste cooking oil and any used ink toners and cartridges at the site mentioned above.
At the same time the Government is introducing Regulations to control the disposal of waste cooking oil by food businesses. The principal purposes of the Regulations are twofold: to prevent the disposal of used cooking oil in drains and sewers, which can lead to blockages resulting in bursts and overflows; and to regulate its disposal through persons licensed under the Public Health Act.
The Recycling Centre opens as from 8am every weekday during Winter hours, and closes at 5pm.
