Aug 08 - Government Urges Public to Carry Out Sustainable Traffic Plan Survey Online
Over the past few months the Ministry for Traffic has been collected empirical data that will underpin the Government’s plan to develop a transport system that works for its users, getting them to where they want to go safely and securely, without damaging the environment.
During this period surveys were conducted on buses, at car parks, and roadsides. In-depth household interviews to better understand how and why people move around Gibraltar were also carried out.
The Government is now launching another survey, which is available online and will allow anyone interested in making their views known, to do so. The survey can be accessed online from the Government homepage www.gibraltar.gov.gi. The survey is completely anonymous and should take no more than a few minutes to complete.
A Government statement released today noted that having a clear understanding of the problem is the first step towards identifying the solutions. These surveys are your opportunity to become a part of this process; Government would encourage everyone to take part and make their voices heard in order to ensure that the final plan is one that delivers real and effective solutions for all citizens.
