Jul 31 - Barclays Will Reduce Gibraltar Operations

Barclays staff were this morning told that although the banking giant plans to remain in Gibraltar, its presence will be “reduced”.
This announcement follows a four-month review of the bank’s Gibraltar business. The bank will now negotiate how to move forward and restructure its business in consultation with Unite the Union.
Barclays employs around 100 people in Gibraltar.
