Jul 29 - Sunborn Hits International Media
Whilst international reports on this weekend’s frontier queues surface around the world, the Sunborn Gibraltar also seems to be making its rounds in worldwide media. Late last week, leading US news channel CNN ran a story similar to a recent feature in the Times, detailing the features of the luxury ‘$200 million Sunborn Yacht Hotel, a permanently moored vessel which could spell the future of architecture in land scarce cities around the world’.
Today a feature has appeared in Pakistan Today, outlines ‘the oceanic behemoth’s’ 189 rooms, banqueting suite, bars, restaurants, etc. Speaking to CNN and the Pakistani English-language daily newspaper, Sunborn Gibraltar CEO, Brian Stevendale expressed Gibraltar’s huge demand for hotels in Gibraltar. He adds that, ‘unlike traditional building -- which involves trucks, cranes and a huge amount of disruption -- we have a ready built product that can be delivered to these prime areas.’
Currently, the Sunborn Gibraltar is berthed by the South Mole with works to revamp and repair the flotel’s interior, still continuing.
