July 02 - World Youth Day - Farewell At The Mayor’s Parlour
As previously announced Monsignor Charles Azzopardi and a group of youngsters from the Diocesan Youth Group will travel to Rio de Janeiro on the 17th July where they will be representing Gibraltar at the World Youth Day.
As is also common knowledge, His Holiness Pope Francis will be presiding over the events.
His Worship the Mayor Anthony Lima MBE Rd* has invited Father Charlie and his Group to a Coffee Morning at the City Hall on Saturday 6th July 2013 where, in the presence of His Lordship the Bishop, he will bid them farewell as they set off on what will surely be an exciting and important visit.
His Worship is pleased to note that the Group’s fund-raising efforts, particularly Father Charlie’s much publicised “Sky Dive” earlier this year, have yielded results.
