June 13 - Sunborn Towed Into Harbour
13 June 2013
The TP Towage tug team this morning assisted in the very delicate operation to bring in the Sunborn floating hotel from its transporter ship just off the Detached Mole to its berth on the South Mole next to the entrance to GibDock.
At 6:30am, with weather conditions ideal for this massive job, the Sunborn was gently lowered into the sea so it could be pulled away from the transporter vessel. At around 9:00am, the Sunborn was on its way to the South Mole towed by three tugs and arriving safely at 10:15am.
