June 03 - Gun Salute Marks Queen's 60th Coronation Anniversary

Yesterday marked the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen’s coronation. Although she celebrated the anniversary in private, yesterday, a ceremony will be held in Westminster Abbey tomorrow to mark the occasion.
Gibraltar paid tribute to Her Majesty this afternoon, with a gun salute carried out by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment at Grand Battery House. The soldiers involved were inspected by His Worship the Mayor who was also presented with a display shell casing to commemorate the event.
