May 15 - Wii Fit for Hospital Physiotherapy Department
15 May 2013
The RGP Charity committee yesterday donated a Nintendo Wii and a Wii Fit Plus to the Physiotherapy Department at St. Bernard’s Hospital.
The devices were presented by Commissioner Eddie Yome and Charity Committee member Inspector William Gomez and received by Caroline Abrines, Physiotherapy Services Manager and Gail Carreras, Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist. They were accompanied by Kyle and Michelle Porro, aged eight who look forward to making use of the donated equipment in due course.
Caroline noted that the Wii would mostly be used by the children, in an effort to interlink the fun that comes with playing a video game with the exercise and rehabilitation of physiotherapy.
