Apr 10 - Lady Johns Presents £22,000 to Diamond Jubilee Trust and St. Johns
This morning, Lady Johns, patron of the Convent Christmas Fair Committee, presented a cheque of £20,000 to the Chief Minister on behalf of the Diamond Jubilee Trust fund. Mr. Picardo insisted that the money would be spread out between a number of charities.
£2,000, also raised at the Convent Christmas Fair was presented to Commissioner of St. John’s Ambulance, Joe Chiara. Mr. Chiara commented that the funds would be used towards the new Head Quarters that the Ambulance Service will move into in June.
