Mar 18 - ‘Flavius’ and ‘The C Word’ Take Home Drama Festival Win
Following an extremely success week for the Gibraltar Drama Festival 2013, the winners were announced by the Adjudicator, Stephen Oliver, during Saturday’s Gala evening.
Best Youth Player was won by Demi Green for her role as Hannah in the ‘The C Word’, presented by Santos; Julian Felice’s play, ‘Flavius’, won Best Original Play; Best Stage Design was awarded to the Trafalgar Theatre Group’s ‘The Diary of Adam and Eve’;
Best Technical Production was awarded to Stage One for ‘Stay Behind Cave’; Best Director was won by Rock Theatre’s Angela Jenkins, for her play ‘Macbeth: To Kill A King’; Best Supporting Player was awarded to Zyanne Ramos for her role as Nadia in Santos Productions’ ‘Too Fast’; Best Actress went to Alexandra Menez for her role as Dottie in ‘Going Underground’, presented by Bayside and Westside Drama Group and Best Actor was won by Royston Capel for his role as Sir. John Godfrey in Stage One’s ‘Stay Behind Cave’.
The Adjudicator’s Special Award went to James Torrente Galdez for his role as José in ‘Going Underground’ presented by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group and the Overall Festival Winner award was presented to ‘Flavius’ performed by the Bayside and Westside Drama Group and ‘The C Word’ presented by Santos Productions.
