May 09 - ROAB Announce Charity Cardboard Boat Race
The William Tilley Lodge of the RAOB 'Buffaloes' Gibraltar in association with Ocean Village Marina are delighted to announce that this year's Charity Cardboard Boat Race will be held on Saturday 18th August 2018. The itinerary will be as follows:
09:00 Boats to begin gathering in Casemates Square
10:00 Judging of assembled Boats in Casemates Square
11:00 All Boats move off in procession to Ocean Village Marina
12:00 Juniors Race
13:00 Grand Raffle Prize Draw
14:00 Adults Race Main Event
15:00 Trophy Ceremony
(All times apart from Casemates events are approximate)
Raffle tickets will be available on request through the web-page or Facebook group and will also be on sale on the following dates:
-Morrisons Store Entrance on Saturday July 7th from 09:30am
-Eroski car Park Entrance on Saturday July 21st from 09:30am
-Eroski car Park Entrance on Saturday 11th August from 09:30am
The organisers urge everyone to turn up and watch the day's events & get involved. Boat registrations are now open online via the RAOB event web-page and we also ask that any local business wishing to sponsor the event or donate raffle prizes get in touch through their site or Facebook Social Media group:
