Jun 13 – Queen’s Birthday Parade On Thursday
The Queen’s Birthday Parade will take place on Thursday 15 June in Grand Casemates Square at 6:30 pm and celebrates the Official Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The parade is modelled in part on that held annually at Horse Guards; which this year will be held on Saturday 17 June. It is conducted principally by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment.
For the latter part of the Parade a Royal Navy Ceremonial White Ensign and the Standard of 202 Squadron RAF will be marched on. Thus, all Services of the Command are represented and will have the opportunity to pay their tribute to Her Majesty on the celebration of the Official Birthday. In London, the parade is known as Trooping the Colour. Because of the size and confines of the Square, Colours will not be ‘trooped’.
