Jan 27 - Cross Frontier Group Meets Chief Minister
27 January 2015
The Government says it has received a proposal from the Cross Frontier Group for the creation of a European Group for Territorial Cooperation. The Government is favourably studying the proposal and the implications of the application for the creation of such a body.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, said: “It is always a pleasure to meet the members of the representative bodies that make up the Cross Frontier Group. Their honest objective is simply to foster cooperation and mutual economic benefits for the people of this region. I have therefore asked for a study of their proposal to be undertaken as soon as possible in order to determine whether and how best to progress the matter.”
