Oct 17 - GSD Calls for Public Reveal of Contract Award Process for Runway Tunnel
Following yesterday’s session of Parliament, which saw the matter of the runway tunnel discussed extensively, The GSD is once again urging the Government to reveal to the public their process of awarding the contract, without tender, to GJBS.
The Chief Minister noted that it had been the previous GSD administration that has initially appointed GJBS the contract, following difficulties with OHL, the project’s original contractor.
A GSD spokesman commented on the issue, noting, ‘unfortunately the atmosphere in the House visibly changes for the worse every time the Chief Minister is in attendance, he has become everything he used to criticise when we was in Opposition; intolerant of political opponents, arrogant and with an attitude that questions should be answered with insults not information.’
