Together Gibraltar Leader, Marlene Hassan Nahon, has today met with La Linea Mayor Juan Franco at his offices in the Ayuntamiento of La Linea.

The meeting was a first for the Together Gibraltar leader with the intention of “forging links and a spirit of collaboration” with the Mayor and the Municipality.

Topics discussed included cross border fluidity and relations into the future with Brexit, the environment, cultural and social ties, and the economies on either side of the border.

Marlene Hassan Nahon said: “It’s been a genuine pleasure to meet Mr. Juan Franco, a hardworking and genuine individual who wants to further his community while collaborating with Gibraltar in all areas which touch us on either side of the border. I hope this will be the first of many meetings between Together Gibraltar and La Linea where we can work together and advance our respective communities through mutual respect and dialogue.”
