Nov 10 – Chief Minister To Address Oriel College Law Society
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has been invited to address the Oriel College Law Society’s Annual Dinner which will be held on Saturday evening.
The Chief Minister is an alumnus of Oriel College, one of the colleges of Oxford University, where he studied jurisprudence from 1990 to 1993.
Those attending the dinner will include eminent solicitors, barristers, law lecturers/professors, retired judges and current Oriel students.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Mrs Picardo, will leave for the UK on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday afternoon.
The costs of the Chief Minister's travel are funded by the Oriel College Law society.
Whilst Mr Picardo is in UK, the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, will act as Chief Minister.
At the Remembrance Service on Sunday, in Mr Picardo's absence, Dr Garcia will lay the wreath on behalf of the Government of Gibraltar.
