Mr Nick Pyle OBE takes up has today taken up the post of Deputy Governor.
Mr Pyle, a career diplomat, is married with three children. His last assignment was as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana and UK Representative to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) from 2013-2016.
Speaking before his arrival in Gibraltar over the weekend, Mr Pyle said: “I am delighted to be taking up the position of Deputy Governor and to working with His Excellency to further develop the excellent modern relationship between Britain and Gibraltar. On a personal note I am very much looking forward to living in Gibraltar and to getting to know the local community”.
