Jan 11 - New Governor Arrives Next Tuesday
The Governor and Commander-in-Chief Designate, Lieutenant General Edward Grant Martin Davis CB CBE and Mrs Lorraine Davis will arrive in Gibraltar onboard RFA Mounts Bay at 10.00am on Tuesday 19 January.
He will be welcomed to Gibraltar by the Acting Governor, Mrs Alison MacMillan and the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo. The Royal Gibraltar Regiment will also fire a 17-gun salute during the short welcome ceremony at the Tower.
Following the ceremony the Commander British Forces, Commodore Ian McGhie, will introduce the Governor and Commander-in-Chief Designate to senior officers from British Forces, Gibraltar. The Governor and Commander-in-Chief Designate will then depart for the Parliament, where he will join other VIP invitees for the Swearing-In Ceremony.
