- CM says “two competing visions of Gibraltar” at the heart of this election
The Chief Minister met this morning with the Governor Alison MacMillan to advise her to dissolve Parliament and call a General Election on Thursday 26th November.
Mr Picardo said the election would be about “two competing visions of Gibraltar.”
One vision, he argued, represented “underinvestment, unnecessary austerity and cuts” whereas his Government stood for its opposite: “The reality of a growing economy, a growing GDP, growing investment in our community and reducing debt; a reality which is palpable all around us and which I have no doubt the majority will choose.”
