Nov 11 – Agony Aunt Corner With Stefano
It’s Friday so Stefano puts on Radio 4, sits down on the sofa with his floral M&S dressing gown and makes a nice cup of tea ready to provide fun solutions to YOUR problems. He’s taken on the role of our local agony aunt and today replies to questions you’ve sent him over the last seven days. Email your problems (in the strictest confidence) to: info@yougibraltartv.com
THE PROBLEM
Dear AA,
I am sick of seeing Donald Trump's orange face all over social media and I am also sick and tired of that clichéd slogan 'Keep Calm & Carry On' being peddled out by politicians who had a decent enough education to know what a good soundbite is. Come on!! Morrisons have been printing low quality tea towels for years, you can get 'Keep Calm' mugs in El Chino in Campamento! KC&CO had its nostalgia high-point at the last Royal Wedding & the 2012 Jubilee. It is now the Autumn of 2016, but let's face it, there's still pictures of Miss Gibraltar winning Miss World in 2009 on display in prominent places so maybe I am just banging my head against a brick wall here.
I want to be inspired by our political leaders and not cringe every time they open their mouths. Now Obama has gone all we have left is that Canadian guy Trudeau and Nicola Sturgeon to save us from hackneyed hell.
Give me some decent soundbites Auntie and make my weekend a happy one.
Love from Me xxx
THE SOLUTION
Seems like the only way to overcome all these things is to keep calm and carry on, keep on truckin', hang in there, baby.
