The Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, has congratulated local hockey umpire Nathan Stagno on being shortlisted for International Hockey Federation (FIH) Umpire of the Year.
Minister Linares said: “Nathan had a very good end to 2015 and has started 2016 in similar fashion. Being on a shortlist of three for such an award in an International Federation of such prestige as the FIH once again speaks volumes of his hard work and dedication. He has been a leading light for local hockey for a long time and this recognition is just another in a long line of well-deserved accolades.”
